DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 16 JANUARY, 2012.
Trade Finance Magazine’s ‘Deals of the Year’ (DoY) recognises innovation and achievement in the global trade finance market. Deal submissions can be submitted by any party involved in the transaction – from arrangers, lenders, borrowers, exporters, importers, advisers, investors, lawyers and other service providers in the market.
We are now open to receive Deal of the Year submissions. We are happy to accept single deal submissions to whole deal books. All information provided will be treated in complete confidence. The deadline for DoY submissions is 16 January, 2012.
Please provide all deals submitted for consideration with the following details.
Initial DoY details required:
Deals must have been signed within calendar year 2011.
In the first instance please send us the following basic details:
· Name of the deal being nominated
· Details of all arrangers and their roles
· Borrower and guarantors
· Amount (including tranches) and tenor
· What type of financing - deal mechanics
· Corporates involved (exporter, importer, equipment provider
· ECAs/MLAs/DFIs and there roles
· Other parties – law firms/financial advisers/insurers/brokers
· Purpose of funds
· Date of signing
· Why you think we should consider it as a DoY

The DoY nominations/submissions will then be evaluated by part of our editorial team (managing editor, editor, staff writer, publisher), and from a shortlist the final decisions made by the managing editor in consultation with independent industry contacts. Institutions are then informed of a winning deal, and further direct comment is sought for the deal to be written up within the March and April issues of Trade Finance Magazine (TFM).
EMEA and Global DoY Award winning deals will be written up in the March 2012 issue of Trade Finance Magazine and Americas and Asia-Pacific DoY Award winning deals will be written up in the April 2012 issue of TFM.
Winners will be presented with their DoY Award at the Trade Finance Magazine Annual Dinners in London and New York in late June 2012 and in Hong Kong in early July 2012. The Award Dinners will combine DoY Awards and the Annual Awards for Excellence.
