From acorns mighty oaks grow – and such is the vision of Sekete Mokgehle, head of global structured trade and commodity finance (GSTCF) at Nedbank Capital, the investment banking business of the Nedbank Group, based in Johannesburg in South Africa. A full year on since the re-launch of the bank’s GSTCF department, Mokgehle tells Trade Finance Magazine about the setting up of the important niche commodity business within the bank and the high standards he has set to deliver the appropriate products to existing and new corporate clients.
Mokgehle leads a GSTCF 14-strong team which is largely split between the two main centres of Johannesburg and London. The six based in the London office are led by Tim Hart in his newly created role as head of GSTCF’s international business, reporting directly to Mokgehle.
