As of today only a handful of agencies have adapted their programmes to the needs of institutional investors. US Ex¬Im led the way with the introduction of the guarantee programme for capital markets investors three years back, which has been utilised for quite some time in the aviation sector. A similar programme has been introduced by ECGD in the UK, but so far it has not been extensively used due to the unfavourable market conditions.
