Citi scoops four awards in the Trade Finance Americas Awards for Excellence
BEST OVERALL TRADE BANK IN NORTH AMERICA Winner: CitiHighly commended: Wells Fargo BEST TRADE BANK IN MEXICO Winner: BanamexHighly commended: Santander Mexico BEST INTERNATIONAL TRADE BANK IN ARGENTINA Winner: CitiHighly commended: Deutsche Bank BEST INTERNATIONAL TRADE BANK IN COLOMBIA Winner: CitiHighly commended: BBVABy scale and reach, US institutions continue to dominate the Best Overall Trade Bank in North America category, though there were also votes for Canadian banks. Coming out on top for the second year running is Citi, ahead of Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Citi has a strong showing in the Americas in 2011’s Awards for Excellence, also having won the Best Trade Bank in Mexico (through subsidiary Banamex), and the Best International Trade Bank awards for Argentina and Colombia.
