ContourGlobal’s (CG) ambitious plans to convert hazardous methane from the water in Rwanda’s Lake Kivu into electricity has won $91.5 million in support from multilateral organisations: the African development Bank (AfDB), the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF), and Netherlands’ FMO, and a political risk guarantee from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).
