There was keen competition for this award from the regional multilateral development banks, with both the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Inter-American Development Bank
(IADB) amassing a healthy number of votes. It was IFC though, the private sector division of the World Bank, that won through.
Readers may recall that last year IFC was presented with the Editor’s Award for overall achievements in trade finance based on the successful Global Trade Finance Programme (GTFP) and Global Trade Liquidity Programme (GTLP)....
