A financial bridge for Sudan’s agri-sector
Within this ground-breaking transaction, International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB Group), acted as arranger, financier and facility manager on the first trade finance deal provided by the IDB Group directed to the private sector in Sudan. Signed in August 2010, ITFC extended this financing for a very difficult market at the time when other financiers were either avoiding it or unable to become involved in Sudan.
