ECAs cofinance Turkey power project

The export credit agencies of the US, France and Denmark are cofinancing exports for the construction of a power plant in southwest Turkey.

JP Morgan has arranged multisourced export financing for Turkey’s Ales Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret (Ales), to buy a GE aeroderivative gas turbine generator set and related US-manufactured equipment for a 62-megawatt combined-cycle gas-fired power project in Aydin province in southwest Turkey. GE Capital Markets Services is the financial advisor on the transaction.
The deal is backed by a $37.4 million long term loan guarantee from the Export-Import Bank of the United States...
