Global trade finance volume reached $51.7 billion in 1H 2010, the lowest half yearly volume since 1H 2006 ($44.7 billion) and down 39% compared with $85.3 billion in 1H 2009. However deal count stood at 425, up from 369 in 1H 2009.
The year-on-year fall in volume was largely attributed to three bilateral loans signed last year which accounted for a large proportion of 1H 2009 volume – Rosneft ($15 billion), Transneft ($10 billion) and Petrobras...
