Keith Karako, global trade product manager at Citi in New York, tells Trade Finance post-crisis corporates have learned a valuable lesson – relationships are key.

“Corporates have learned that while they may have had very good relationships two and a half years ago, when a major economic event happens people start looking out for themselves – whether it’s buyer or seller. You have to prioritise your relationships when you don’t need as many or you can’t afford to have as many partners.
