Overcoming challenges in Honduras
While the theme of managing to sign a deal under difficult financial circumstances was endemic in 2009’s Deal of the Year submissions, this deal reminds us that sometimes it is politics that proves a challenge. The financing of Grupo Jaremar’s expansion plans was executed despite the Honduran constitutional crisis, which effectively froze offshore lending into the country.
