Originating new transactions in the emerging markets was certainly not an easy task through 2009. But in this instance, Standard Bank pioneered a pre-payment facility in Mongolia for Energy Resources, a private Mongolian mining company founded in 2005. This transaction is the first ever pre-export finance facility made available within the private sector in Mongolia.
