IFC steps up funding for Pakistan

The International Finance Corporation has recorded an 80% rise in the number of trade finance guarantees approved for Pakistan last year compared to 2008.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank group, has announced that it provided Pakistani banks with $202 million (over Rs17billion) in trade finance guarantees over the first half of fiscal year 2010.
